First Contact Worker (Casual)

We are currently seeking someone to join our team of First Contact Workers on a casual basis to cover daytime, evening and weekend work as required. You will:

  • Opening and/or closing the building – ensuring security procedures are adhered to

  • Setting up rooms - a significant amount of manual handling will be required in the moving of table and chairs, etc.; and preparing refreshments.

  • Greeting visitors who have hired the facilities, and those attending events, into the premises; and addressing any queries they may have during the period of hiring.

  • Act as the first point of contact for those hiring the organisations facilities - face to face, by telephone and email - taking of room bookings and updating the Online Room Booking System.


  • Acting as the first point of contact for members of the public attending the organisations services - mainly on the telephone but also face to face

  • Ensure relevant information is entered onto our case management systems accurately and in accordance with our quality standards.

  • To provide administrative support including archiving and other office tasks as required.

You will be required to have an DBS Check.
